Our Story
Colorado is full of incredibly talented makers. Jewelers, ceramicists, candle makers, leather workers, textile artists — people who have turned their craft into a business and are pouring everything into it. We wanted to support them. And we kept running into the same problem: there was no single place to find them all.
If you search for handmade or locally-made Colorado goods online, you get a scattered, overwhelming mix — some real, some not, spread across a dozen platforms with no easy way to know who to trust. The makers themselves are just as fragmented, each trying to stand out on platforms built for volume and not for community. Great artisans were getting lost in the noise — not because their work wasn’t worthy, but because the tools available to them weren’t designed with them in mind.

I started StateCrafted because I was a buyer who couldn’t find what I was looking for — and a community advocate who knew that wasn’t good enough.
Colorado is home to an extraordinary community of makers. I wanted to support them, but I couldn’t find them all in one place. And when I started talking to the makers themselves, I heard the same frustration from the other side: great craftspeople building real businesses, losing too much to platform fees, and struggling to stand out in a sea of mass-produced goods pretending to be local.
StateCrafted is my answer to both problems. One home for Colorado’s makers. One trusted destination for Colorado’s buyers. No commissions. No fakes. Just authentic Colorado craft — verified, celebrated, and supported.
I built this because I believe the “shop local” movement deserves real digital infrastructure. Colorado makers deserve a platform that fights for them. And buyers who want to put their money where their values are deserve a place they can trust completely.
