This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed, shipped, and tracked on the StateCrafted platform. Because StateCrafted is a marketplace connecting buyers directly with independent Colorado makers, each seller manages their own shipping. This policy sets the standards all sellers must meet and explains what buyers can expect at every stage of the process.
1. How Shipping Works on StateCrafted
StateCrafted does not manufacture, warehouse, or ship products. Each order is fulfilled directly by the individual seller (maker) who listed the product. When you place an order, you are buying directly from a Colorado-based maker who is responsible for packaging and shipping your item.
StateCrafted sets minimum shipping standards that all sellers must follow, and we facilitate communication between buyers and sellers if issues arise.
Note: Each seller may have slightly different processing times, shipping carriers, and shipping rates. Always review the shipping details on an individual product listing before purchasing.
2. Order Processing Time
Processing time is the time between when you place your order and when the seller ships it. Because many StateCrafted makers create items by hand — often to order — processing times can vary.
- Standard processing time: 1–5 business days from order placement
- Custom or made-to-order items: Processing time will be disclosed in the listing and may be longer
- Sellers must disclose any processing times that exceed 5 business days clearly in their listing
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays. Orders placed on
weekends or holidays begin processing the next business day.
✓ All sellers on StateCrafted are required to ship within 5 business days of receiving an order, unless a longer timeframe is clearly disclosed in the product listing prior to purchase.
3. Shipping Methods and Carriers
Sellers on StateCrafted choose their own shipping carriers and methods. Common carriers used by StateCrafted sellers include USPS, UPS, FedEx, and regional carriers. The available shipping options for any given order will be displayed at checkout.
Sellers may offer one or more of the following shipping options:
- Standard shipping: Estimated 2–5 business days in transit after dispatch
- Expedited shipping: Estimated 1–2 business days in transit after dispatch (if offered by the seller)
- Local pickup: Available at the seller’s discretion for Colorado-based buyers (if offered)
Shipping times are estimates provided by the carrier, not guarantees. Actual delivery times may vary due to carrier volume, weather, or other factors outside the seller’s or StateCrafted’s control.
4. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are set by each individual seller and will be clearly displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase. Shipping rates are typically calculated based on:
- The weight and dimensions of the item
- The destination address
- The shipping method selected
Some sellers may offer free shipping on certain items or order totals. Free shipping eligibility, if applicable, will be displayed on the product listing and at checkout. StateCrafted does not subsidize or control seller shipping rates.
Note: Always review the total order cost, including shipping, before completing your purchase. Shipping costs are displayed at checkout and are not hidden.
5. The Three-Tier Verification System
5.1 Domestic Shipping (within the United States)
All StateCrafted sellers ship within the United States. Most sellers ship to all 50 states. Some sellers may restrict shipping to Colorado or a defined regional area — any such restrictions will be clearly noted in the product listing.
5.2 International Shipping
StateCrafted is currently a Colorado-focused domestic marketplace. International shipping is not standard on the Platform. Individual sellers may offer international shipping at their own discretion. If a seller offers international shipping, it will be indicated on their listing and at checkout.
⚠️ International buyers: import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost displayed on StateCrafted.
5.3 P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO Addresses
Shipping to P.O. boxes and military APO/FPO addresses depends on the carrier used by the individual seller. Some sellers and carriers cannot ship to these addresses. Please review the seller’s shipping information or contact them through the Platform before placing an order if this applies to you.
6. Tracking Your Order
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation notification through the Platform containing your tracking number and carrier information. You can use this information to track your package directly on the carrier’s website.
- Tracking information is provided by the seller at the time of shipment
- Allow up to 24 hours for tracking information to activate with the carrier after you receive your
confirmation - If you have not received a shipping confirmation within your seller’s stated processing window, contact the seller first through the Platform
Note: If your tracking information has not updated in 5 or more business days, or if your tracking shows a delivery that you did not receive, contact us at hello@statecrafted.co.
7. Shipping Timeline Reference

Total estimated delivery time = processing time + shipping transit time. For example, a seller with a 3-business-day processing time shipping via standard USPS (3–5 days) would result in an estimated delivery window of 6–8 business days from order placement.
8. Seller Shipping Standards
All sellers on StateCrafted are required to meet the following shipping standards as a condition of their seller account:
- Ship all orders within 5 business days of order placement, unless a longer timeline is clearly disclosed in the listing
- Provide accurate tracking information to the buyer through the Platform upon shipment
- Package items securely and appropriately to prevent damage in transit
- Use honest and accurate shipping estimates in their listings
- Communicate proactively with buyers about any delays before or as soon as they occur
- Respond to buyer shipping inquiries within 48 hours

9. Shipping Issues: What To Do

9.1 Order Not Yet Shipped
If your order has not shipped within the seller’s stated processing time (or within 5 business days if no processing time is listed), contact the seller directly through the Platform. If you do not receive a response within 48 hours, contact StateCrafted at hello@statecrafted.co and we will follow up on your behalf.
9.2 Package Appears Lost in Transit
If your tracking has shown no movement for 10 or more business days, or if your estimated delivery window has passed with no delivery, contact us at hello@statecrafted.co. We will work with the seller and carrier to investigate. If the package cannot be confirmed as in transit or delivered, a refund or replacement will be arranged.
9.3 Tracking Shows Delivered But Item Not Received
Occasionally, a carrier will mark a package as delivered before it arrives, or a package may be left in an unexpected location. We recommend:
- Checking with household members, neighbors, and building management
- Checking all entry points to your home, including porches and garages
- Waiting 24 hours after the delivery confirmation, as packages occasionally show delivered a day
early
If the package still has not arrived after 24 hours, contact StateCrafted at hello@statecrafted.co within 5 days of the delivery confirmation date. We will open an investigation with the carrier and the seller.
9.4 Item Arrived Damaged
If your item arrived damaged, do not discard the packaging. Take photos of both the damaged item and the packaging immediately, then contact us at hello@statecrafted.co within 7 days of the confirmed delivery date. Include your order number and photos in your email. You are entitled to a full refund or replacement under StateCrafted’s platform guarantee.
10. Address Accuracy
Buyers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address at checkout. StateCrafted and sellers cannot be held responsible for delivery failures, delays, or lost packages caused by an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the buyer.
If you notice an error in your shipping address after placing an order, contact the seller immediately through the Platform. Address changes can only be accommodated before the order ships. Once an order has shipped, we are unable to redirect the package, and any additional shipping costs to resend the item to the correct address will be the buyer’s responsibility.
11. Shipping and Taxes
Shipping costs may be subject to sales tax depending on the destination state and applicable tax laws. Any applicable tax on shipping will be displayed at checkout before your purchase is complete.
StateCrafted sellers are independently responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable shipping and sales tax regulations for their products and destinations.
12. Holiday and Peak Season Shipping
During peak shopping seasons — including the holiday season (November through January), Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and other high-volume periods — processing and shipping times may be longer than usual due to carrier volume. We encourage buyers to:
- Order early, especially for custom or made-to-order items during peak seasons
- Review the individual seller’s processing time at the time of purchase
- Contact sellers in advance if you have a hard delivery deadline
Note: StateCrafted is not responsible for carrier delays during peak seasons. If you have a time sensitive order, we recommend selecting expedited shipping if available and placing your order well in advance of your required delivery date.
13. For Sellers: Shipping Requirements
As a StateCrafted seller, your shipping practices directly affect buyer trust and the reputation of the platform. You are required to:
- Accurately represent your processing and shipping times in every listing
- Update listings promptly if your shipping capabilities change
- Ship all orders within 5 business days unless a longer time is disclosed upfront
- Enter accurate tracking information into the Platform at the time of shipment
- Package items carefully — damage caused by inadequate packaging is your responsibility
- Respond to all buyer shipping questions within 48 hours
- Communicate any delays to buyers proactively before they need to follow up
Failure to meet these requirements may result in written warnings, reduced search placement, or account suspension. For full details, refer to the Seller Agreement, Section 7.
14. Changes to This Policy
StateCrafted may update this Shipping Policy from time to time. When material changes are made, registered users will be notified by email and the updated policy will be posted on the Platform at least 14 days before changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
